If you’re at Disneyland during the Halloween season, you’ve got to check out this special offering at Goofy’s Kitchen! This character dining restaurant is located in the Disneyland Hotel and offers breakfast and dinner buffets with appearances by Goofy and friends. The Halloween Dinner is available every day from September 21 to October 31, 2023 and starts at $37 for children and $75 for adults.

We opted for an early 4:50pm dinner on our arrival day. This was a nice way to relax after a 5-hour flight from Orlando that morning and refuel for our busy park days ahead! 

After checking in, our dinner experience started with a photo opportunity with Goofy who was the only character that did not walk around the dining room. From the looks of his intricate costume, its easy to see why he is stationary! 

Once seated at your table, a server will come by to take your drink order and then you’re off to fill your plates at the ample buffet.

The variety of food at this buffet exceeded expectations and everything was above average. The quantity and quality of options were impressive, and the autumn-themed food items such as pumpkin, squash, cranberries, and more added an extra touch to a great dining experience. And, because it’s GOOFY’s Kitchen, there are a couple of bizarre pizza offerings like Peanut Butter and Jelly Pizza and Pumpkin Smores Pizza!

Chip and Dale, Pluto, and Minnie, all dressed up in their Halloween costumes, made their way around the dining room as we ate and stopped to take photos and sign autographs. 

Overall, this is at the top of our list for Character Dining experiences not just here but at Walt Disney World as well. The food was delicious and the restaurant was just the right size to allow for more interactions with the characters.
