The Disney Cruise Difference – A Truly Stress Free Holiday

By Kristen Tutas / September 28, 2017

Disney Cruise
If there is one thing I love about cruising with Disney, it has to be that it is actually a holiday for the grown ups as well as the children.

When small children are in the equation, so many holidays can end up stressful rather than relaxing. Not on the Disney ships though. Once you board, you truly do leave your worries behind. Everything is thought of, not a stone left unturned, as the Disney Difference starts to unveil itself.

The Magical Express

From the moment you arrive at the airport and retrieve your luggage, Disney has it covered. There is no haggling with taxi drivers, or struggling under the weight of bags. Your suitcases are collected and magically appear outside your room, meanwhile you have a comfortable journey on a coach filled with magic, which depending on location often even stops to point out sights along the way.

Practical Extras For Babies

Babies and toddlers may well be small, but their packing list is far from little. For those flying to their destination, it can be hard to fit in everything you would like to take to make your stay as comfortable as possible. With Disney, this is not an issue. Strollers, diaper bins, travel cots and bottle warmers, are all available to borrow onboard. Nappies and wipes are available to buy, and the kitchens will purée whatever your little one likes to eat. They really have thought of everything.

Food

As a parent food is always something I worry about. Having been blessed with two children, who were both extremely fussy toddlers, I can attest to the fact that the staff really do pull out the stops. From creating meals the children will love, to cutting up their food so that parents can enjoy their meals, the dining team really do think of everything.

With the head waiter taking allergy orders the night before, buffet and table-service restaurants to choose from, and even the option for children to eat in the kids’ clubs if they would like to, there is a way of making dining enjoyable for everyone.

Staff Training In Additional Needs

Disney Cruise Special Needs
As the mum of a daughter with Autism, I will never forget the moment I first took her to the kids’ club. Living in England, where Autism training even in schools is rare, I was stunned to be told that all staff onboard had been given autism training. It’s just one of the things that keep us returning to Disney. The ethos is one of caring and inclusion, I can honestly say there is nowhere my daughter feels more relaxed. And that is the highest accolade I can give.

Adult Only Areas

When the children are in the kids’ clubs there is nothing I love more than escaping to the adult only areas. Whether it’s a quiet coffee, a relaxing swim or time in the spa, it’s lovely to make the most of a little grown up time. Made all the more perfect that through the use of wave phones, ship staff can get hold of you instantly if a problem occurs.

Amazing Excursions

Whilst I often love to explore places myself, there are times I love to know I have the support of an experienced tour guide. Disney excursions leave no stone unturned, and ensure that wherever you are visiting you feel safe and secure. Transport is taken care of, attraction tickets are bought and all that is left is for you to enjoy the experience.

Help Whenever You Need It

Disney Cruise Fairy godmothers

Whatever your problem, once onboard you can be sure that it will be solved. And not only will it be solved, but it will be solved quickly and with a smile. Whether you need maintenance or catering, medical or shore advice, someone onboard will have the answer. Perhaps even more remarkable, you’ll often not even need to ask. Before you even know you need a piece of information someone will ensure you already do.

In summary, if you are looking for a holiday which will not only be magical, but where you will truly be able to relax, you will not go far wrong with a Disney Cruise.

Forget the Fairy Godmother, it really will feel like you have a whole team of them taking care of your every need.
