  1. Wish Makers Enchanted Dining at 1900 Park Fare

We recently enjoyed the Wish Makers Enchanted Dining experience, nestled within the elegant 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. From the beloved characters to tasty cuisine, here’s our balanced take on the dining experience:

    Ambiance:

As you enter the dining space, you’re greeted by portraits of your favorite classic Disney characters, such as Sleeping Beauty and her prince, Rapunzel, and Geppetto. These portraits surely set the stage for a whimsical dining experience that centers around the art of making a wish. While the ambiance is cozy, the intimate setting may feel a bit tight for some guests. Its one of the smaller, if not the smallest character dining rooms. The experience moves rather quickly with less time waiting for all the character to visit your table – which we liked!

    Cuisine:

Coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks are included and if you want to sweeten your dining experience with a specialty drink, those are available for an additional charge. For our breakfast, we chose the complimentary POG juice (passion, orange, guava) and a nice and frothy, Cappuccino!

After placing our drink orders, we indulged in a buffet-style feast offering various savory and sweet options like traditional hot and cold foods, pastries, cereal and a kids table. The signature item here is the “Grand Floridian Strawberry Soup.” While it was refreshing, it was pretty much a cold bowl of yogurt, so I would not put this on our must-have list.

The buffet had a menu similar to most Disney breakfast buffets, with a wide range of options. Some of our favorites included:

    • Cheesey Hashbrown casserole
    • Guava and Cream Cheese Pastry
    • Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread
    • Croissant Breakfast Pizza (on the kiddy section

    Characters:

While enjoying our meal, each table was greeted by Four Characters: Cinderella, Tiana, Aladdin and Mirabel. These characters represent the “wish makers,” characters known for making a wish… and making their wish come true!

Cinderella is in her classic blue ball gown and was the favorite amongst younger guests (she had extra cast member security!) Tiana was sporting her new Bayou Adventure outfit and ready to take on her role as an entrepreneur! Mirabel was a funny delight, and we chatted about her colorful dress and how she wanted to add some butterflies to it. And, we can’t forget my all-time favorite 90s movie character… Aladdin! He said he liked my ears, purple is his favorite color, and I must be royalty! (Nice one, Al!)

Aside from meeting some great characters, the best feature may very well be the Wish-Making Ceremony! Each table gets a souvenir card with the character signatures on one side and a place on the other side for you to write your wish, which will then be part of the wish-making ceremony. The wish-making ceremony was narrated by Jiminy Cricket, who prompted us to hold our wishing star in the air and repeat after him: “I wish my wish, as wish makers do. And believe in myself, to make it come true.”

    Price:

At $54 per adult and $34 per child, plus tax and gratuity, this dining experience offers reasonable value, especially for families utilizing the Disney Dining Plan for one table service credit.

In conclusion, the Wish Makers Enchanted Dining experience provided a pleasant dining experience with a sprinkle of Disney magic. It’s a good choice for families wanting to immerse themselves in the ambiance of the Grand Floridian and meet some unforgettable characters!
