July 2017: DVC Resale and ROFR Data

With limited listings for sale on the resale market this summer, sale prices are continuing to increase for most DVC resorts. Compared to January sales data, Animal Kingdom sales are up $16 per point on average, Beach Club is up $12 per point and Hilton Head is up $13 per point.

Below you will find DVC Right of First Refusal (ROFR) and resale data from offers that were accepted and sent to ROFR during the month of July. Also included in the chart below is the difference in price compared to May/June sales data.

There were very few ROFR buybacks in July compared to earlier in the year when we saw our highest buyback rates. Disney typically takes 30 days to make their decision after contracts have been submitted to them for review so we are still waiting on sales that were submitted towards the end of July.

NOTE: Average sale price is based on total monthly sales for each resort, regardless of contract size. Typically, smaller point contracts sell for around $10-$15 per point higher than average due to high demand and low inventory.
