Expansion will welcome more Disney Vacation Club Members home just steps from Magic Kingdom Park

Celebration, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2021) – On the eve of the start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Vacation Club provided a touch of Victorian charm and splendor with a preview of the rooms that members will call home at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa with an enhanced and expanded offering coming in the summer of 2022. The enhancements include approximately 200 units of proposed resort studios, a Disney Vacation Club room type unique to The Villas at the resort, and newly refurbished deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and three-bedroom grand villas.

Celebrated for its 1890s Victorian architecture and elegance, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa sits on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and is located in the heart of the magic. The resort is literally steps away from the excitement via a new walkable promenade leading to and from Magic Kingdom Park. Guests can also access the monorail, buses, and water taxi services directly from the property to travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

At the resort, families also enjoy relaxing and entertaining activities nearby, such as watercraft rentals, a sports court with a half basketball court, and swimming at the Courtyard Pool or the Alice In Wonderland- themed water play area. Dining at Citricos or Narcoosee’s and watching a favorite Disney film together outside during movies under the stars screenings are popular resort activities. Guests at the resort may enjoy a glimpse of fireworks over Cinderella Castle.

“We’re excited to share more information about the enhancements coming to The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, offering a diverse inventory at a resort that is cherished by our members and their families,” said Bill Diercksen, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Vacation Club and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. “This expansion is a reflection of our continued growth and commitment to providing guests more opportunities to make magical vacation memories year after year.”
